Basketball Zones

kia ora bloggers.on term 2 week 2  we had basketball zones which is when 8 schools come to different places to have some basketball game and also have fun.So we went to trust arena in waitakere for our FIRST EVER BASKETBALL ZONE OF THE YEAR, lots of people were laughing and having fun, thats the most important part of basketbal zones(having fun)

we started to have a little break but then is was 20 minutes so we had our next game but it wasnt a game it was like to play some mini basketball games with the other were played against before

now ill be telling you my story line for the whole day

Alright so at the start of the day we in the bathroom getting basketball t shirts on then after that we went outside from our class lining up in our three teams,I went in my teachers car to get there and also my friends aswell came with me but i sat in the front because i was tallest there. When we got there we waited for probably 5 minutes for the other schools to get here including the other two waikowhai teams, when we got there we went all the way to the the top floor we were sitting on the lowest chairs where it goes of the top floor.now it was officially our first game i was so scared and nervous but ofcourse i had to be the one to jump and throw the ball to my team well i’m technically happy to be it because i’m tall and always got the ball,oh and i forgot to tell you bloggers but we have 7 games today, alright so let me tell you my story line, alright so like i said i went in my teachers car driving all the way to trust arena and it was very pack there. When we got inside we went to the top chairs and i did not like it.it was our first match, 10 minutes only, we lost that round so we had to wait for another hour, we lost that aswell so i need to get to my next game next hour i was ready for this one. On this match it was a skilled match so the other team that i played with before our team had to play some games with the other team and it was so much fun around 20 minutes. Now it was my 6 match straight after the skilled match i was so tired because i forgot my water, i just remembered i was subbed. so that’s everything bloggers  ba bye

The Te waka ako class showcase

Kia ora people On the 28th of september 22 we had a showcase at 5 all the way to 7pm It was fun actaully but if you dont know what a showcase is its like everyone in the school or whoever is doing showcase they showoff there work of what they have done this term so all the parents and kids cam in to see our work and look at what we did this term.

there was also lots of food like cake nuggets fish bites AND EVEN DONUTS AND Sausages but the best one was the samosas they were the best if you dont know what samosas are its like a triangle food with heaps of like meat and stuff like that inside of it but ofcourse they were warm because they were beside the warm stuff.

I felt nervous when the parents started to come in the classes because they had to walk around the whole class and there was 3 classes and they were walking around each of them i got so scared because one of them were coming close to me but i was being kaha though i cant believe there was so much people i thought there would like be 21 but there was like 64.

It was a teachers birthday on that day,we all sang happy birthday.

my favourite piece of work was the painting i did about the pike river mine explosion it was actaully easier to paint  than you think because it only took me three days to do it and it was not waisting my time actaully .the pike river mine explosion was about a mine was at greymouth in New zealand on the 19th of october 2010

Have you had a showcase before?

If you had a show case were you nervous?

what did you create to present?

If you had a showcase how long did you  stay there for?

PariHaka Headbands

Tena koutou people, I’m gonna tell you about Parihaka headbands we did in school. It was fun so today I’m going to teach you how to make one of your own Parihaka headbands. So first of all you would want to get a long cardboard piece then if you have a sharpie or a permanent marker  you can make easy patterns like this.

I’m the history teller and I will tell you stuff about the Parihaka memories. Their land was taken  in the 1860s from many Maori tribes. Two leaders -Te whiti-o-Rongomai and Tohu Kakahi. They set up a settlement for Maori who lost their land and homes. When the government wanted to take this land as well protested in a non-violent way. They wore the white plume(feathers)
